Zones and distribution are not identical

Central systems commonly serve rooms through a shared duct network, with zoning depending on the installation. Ductless systems can condition individual areas, but a single wall unit may not distribute air evenly through multiple closed rooms. Discuss doors, hallways, sun exposure and occupant preferences so system placement supports the intended living pattern.

Consider maintenance and appearance

Both approaches require ongoing filter and equipment care. Central systems rely on ducts that may need evaluation, while ductless systems have visible indoor components and condensate routing that should remain serviceable. Outdoor equipment placement, access for technicians and installation penetrations deserve planning attention. The better option is the one that fits the property, not the one with the more appealing generic marketing claim.
